The housing market couldn’t be busier right now – there are so many homes coming onto the market and so many people looking to buy. It truly is flying right now and some properties are actually being bought before viewings as people are desperate to buy their perfect new home.

The prices of property have been increasing in recent months and the average price of UK homes jumped to a record high of £254,606 in March 2021. This was an increase of 1.1% and is said to be down to the increased interest from buyers thanks to recent government measures. Sales were said to be at a 16-year high which is incredible! The housing market has had a resurgence and it is great to see.

This month saw the new 95% mortgages hitting the market. The announcement of these mortgages a few weeks ago during the Spring Budget 2021 was met with plenty of praise and the property market has been awash with talk about them from both buyers and lenders alike. Customers have been keen to find out more about them and mortgage providers have been incredibly busy getting prepared to offer them to buyers.
