Broughton is one of those places which provide so much more than the casual observer would believe. Too big to call itself a village yet too small to be thought of a town in its own right It has been sustained by the mass employment provided by the nearby Airbus factory and which provides much of the area’s identity. It also caters for the needs of this workforce by providing the massive Broughton Park shopping complex along with other local outlets, schools, pubs and sports facilities, and in the unlikely event that these fail to satisfy your needs, Chester is minutes away.

Please note that it is not strictly a two bedroom apartment, it's more of a one bed but can easily be used a two bed, which is has been effectively used as by the present owners. You can utilise the space more effectively with slight alterations, but you need to see this place to understand it better.

Our door reveals a short inner hallway leading into an interesting room, the use of which will be dictated by your own personal needs. Owing to the current owners’ recent addition to the family, this is seeing use as a bedroom, but in a child free environment would make a splendid and spacious study, music/hobby or perhaps formal dining room.

Moving through here into the inner hallway, on our left is the bathroom, which is finished in a very modernist style with dark grout making the white tiling stand out in stark contrast to the patterned flooring. The lounge is generously proportioned and looks well able to take one of these vast ‘L’ shaped corner settees that are so in vogue today without feeling at all overpowered. Also, in keeping with the whims of fashion and the current trend towards open plan style living, an open archway leads from here into the adjoining kitchen.

In here there are fitted units filling all the available walls in a ‘U’ shape and containing all the necessary 21st century appliances without which life seems just too difficult. Although set out in a galley shape, something that frequently results in working conditions cramped enough to cause marital rifts, this remains a pleasant space from which to feed the assembled masses.

Outside the French doors the size of the garden suddenly becomes apparent. Suburban gardens, and especially those exclusively owned by apartments are rarely anything more than a token, somewhere big enough for a BBQ, a couple of deckchairs and little else. This however, is something entirely different. #

A selection of raised beds provide growing space for any budding Alan Titchmarsh that fancies an attempt at self sufficiency, while the remainder of the area is laid to lawn with a variety of small trees around the perimeter.
