In spite of these difficult times the housing market shows no signs of slowing down and as this is a market that is only sustained by the first-time buyers at the bottom, it is encouraging to see homes such as this one continuing to be offered. To the front of the home is a large conservatory style porch which contains the white semi glazed UPVC front door and provides somewhere for wet coats and shoes, protecting your carpets. Beyond here the inner hall contains the turned staircase with its useful storage beneath and a further door opening into the lounge.

This comfortably large room is kept nicely bright by the two front facing windows overlooking the garden and has a main focal point provided by the faux marble fireplace in the large chimney breast. A door to the rear of the room opens into a short corridor towards the back door either side of which lie the bathroom and kitchen respectively.

The kitchen on the right could benefit from something of a makeover although if finances prevent this in the short term, simply renewing the door fronts on the units is a cheap and effective option which produces much the same results. What the room does provide however, is space. In fact there is room enough for a proper dining table without it getting in the way of anyone working in the kitchen itself, which is a luxury rarely found in many of today’s newly built estate homes that may look lovely but are frequently quite cramped.

Opposite here the bathroom, if a little dated I must say, provides everything you need and is perfectly serviceable. As you already know, most new buyers often have kitchens and bathrooms on their wish lists of things they would like to change in order to make their home feel more individual but again, this is something that could be done at leisure rather than because it is an immediate necessity. Passing the lawn the garden reverts to slab paving surrounded by raised beds of established shrubs providing splashes of colour and in the corner, is a raised area perfect for a BBQ which currently plays host to the sort of Wendy house that would make you extremely popular with any small child.

Moving upstairs to the square landing, to the front of the home we find the smaller of the bedrooms, though at 12’ long it should never be thought of as small. Although slightly narrow it nevertheless provides enough space for a very luxurious single room or one which, at a pinch could accept a double bed although the layout may prove a little inconvenient.

Towards the rear of the home are the remaining bedrooms the smaller of which, if the décor is anything to go by, has been a child’s room. It is of an excellent size, bright and airy with a large window providing view over the rear garden.

Adjacent to here and with similar views, is the main bedroom. This is a splendid double room with all the space you could wish for, meaning your choice of bedroom furniture need never feel a compromise and with a large cupboard with louvre doors filling the niche beside the chimney breast providing additional storage, shopaholics can relax, they won’t be stuck for somewhere to hide clothes.
